1. 1989 - Sega releases the Sega Genesis
2. 1989 - NEC releases the TurboGrafx-16 
3. 1989 - Atari releases the hand-held Lynx
4. 1990 - SNK releases the Neo Geo            
5. 1991 - Nintendo releases the Super Nintendo Entertainment System
6. 1991 - Philips releases the CD for use of games console platforms
7. 1992 - NEC releases the TurboDuo
8. 1993 - Atari releases their last console the Atari Jaguar
9. 1993 - Goldstar releases the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer console
10. 1995 - Sega releases the Saturn game console
11. 1995 - Nintendo released the Virtual Boy games console
12. 1995 - Sony releases the PlayStation 1 making a huge success
13. 1995 - Sega releases the Nomad              
14. 1996 - Nintendo releases the N64
15. 1999 - Sega releases the Dreamcast
16. 2000 - Sony releases the PlayStation 2
17. 2001 - Nintendo releases the Nintendo GameCube
18. 2001 - Microsoft releases the Xbox                         
19. 2004 - Atari releases the Atari Flashback               
20. 2005 - Microsoft releases the Xbox 360
21. 2006 - Sony releases the PlayStation 3
22. 2006 - Nintendo releases the Wii
