Public Service Broadcaster BBC |
What is a public service provider/broadcaster?
Public service broadcasters work primarily in broadcasting such things as radio, documentaries & educational programs along with public television series & programs. The main goal of a PSB is to provide programs which wouldn't be shared on channels which can provide any types of media on their channels, this would be Channel 4 + 5 & ITV. As PSB channels gain their funding through television licenses, the need for advertisements is not necessary and isn't included, however the main purpose of the channel is to provide a service which engages the public rather then provides for the public, such as movies & soaps.
The main broadcasting channel for England is BBC with its extra channels along side it, these are primarily used to place children entertainment & education along with other educational documentaries which may be found useful to the public. However alongside these broadcasts they also provide the public with free games to play with its interactive features. These games are also normally for educational purpose and work the same way as interactive games, with the use of a television remote or they work alongside program thats currently on the television.
The features and limitations remain the same however these games are normally free & more educational and useful than other games hosted by other providers.
